Breaking into Wall Street was not an easy journey for me, despite having gone to a major target school. We often lament, “If I knew what I know now, my life would be completely different”, and this holds true for me as well. If I had known the necessary steps required to get into the world of high finance when I first entered my college years, the journey would have been a lot more straight-forward. I wouldn’t have had to endure the trials-and-errors before taking a 5-year long roundabout path into Wall Street.

Over the years, I’ve learned quite a bit on what it takes to get your foot in the door of a major Wall Street firm, and I provide this step-by-step guide to help prepare high school and college students who are looking for a career on Wall Street. In this book, I provide a background on what it means to work on Wall Street, types of careers available, specific courses to expand your knowledge base, potential hobbies and activities to round out your resume, the means to obtain internships, and the required key concepts to make an impression during interviews.

The most crucial points have been compacted into this book, and I sincerely hope you will find this guide helpful in your endeavor. The earlier you get started in this process (preferably in high school), the better equipped you will be against the competition. Good luck!
