Deadlift 410 x 5 @ 9.5



last rep was really a grinder….

as you can see, my sticking point tends to be getting the bar off the floor…. that is ALWAYS my failing point. as of yet, i’ve never failed on lockout, which tells me my glutes aren’t a weak point here at all..

to remedy that, i’ve been incorporating deficit deadlifts off a 1 inch plate for 4-5 sets after my 5/3/1 deadlift sets (rep ranges depend on the week).. i.e. after the deadlifting you saw in this clip, i did deficit deadlifts with 320 x 4 for 3 sets unbelted, then 320 x 5 or 6 for 1 set belted (though the belt didn’t help me at all)
